Sauk Prairie Against Hunger packing food to feed hungry children

SAUK CITY — How many people can you feed with a semi-truck full of food? The answer to that question is more than you might think, if you look at who is packing the meals.

In Sauk City, the nonprofit organization 6:8 Making Service Personal is planning its fourth annual Sauk Prairie Against Hunger (SPAH) Pack Event for October 22 to 24. Its goal is to pack 272,000 meals and to collect three tons of food and goods for the Sauk Prairie Food Pantry.

People have been making such special journeys for centuries. Saving lives — one baby at a time

Pro-life individuals and organizations are working to change laws and public opinion, and they are making a difference in our state and across our nation.

Wisconsin experienced over a 10 percent decline in abortions in 2014, continuing a trend of fewer abortions during the past five years.

One way this has happened is that lives are being saved — one baby at a time — thanks to the commitment of pro-life pregnancy centers and volunteers.

During the pope’s visit to America, I had the privilege of commenting for NBC News and for MSNBC.

Twice I was on for extended periods with Brian Williams, the former anchor for NBC Nightly News, and twice with Chris Matthews, the host of Hardball. I must say that both men are very good at what they do, namely, keeping a conversation going among several different people with varying points of view and assuring that things stay sufficiently lively and interesting.
