Vayan y Hagan Discípulos: Orando con la Escritura

El Concilio Vaticano II llamó a un encuentro renovado con Jesucristo a través de la lectura de la Sagrada Escritura. Cuando leemos las Escrituras, no solo encontramos palabras en una página; nos encontramos con una persona. Como dice Dei Verbum 21: “Porque en los libros sagrados, el Padre que está en los cielos se encuentra con sus hijos con gran amor y habla con ellos; y la fuerza y el poder en la palabra de Dios es tan grande que se erige como sostén y energía de la Iglesia, fuerza de fe para sus hijos, el alimento del alma, la fuente pura y eterna de la vida espiritual. En consecuencia, estas palabras son perfectamente aplicables a la Sagrada Escritura: “Porque la palabra de Dios es viva y activa’ (Heb. 4:12) y ‘tiene poder para sobreedificarle y darle su herencia entre todos los que están santificados’ (Hechos 20:32)”.
