Santo Tomás de Aquino define la belleza como “aquello que, visto, agrada”. Puede sonar bastante abstracto, pero tiene sentido. Llamamos “hermosos” a los atardeceres, océanos, estrellas, pinturas, personas, etc. cuando experimentamos una sensación de placer con solo mirarlos con un sentido de asombro y aprecio. Lo mismo ocurre con la música. Cuando escuchamos algo que realmente nos conmueve, nos levanta el ánimo o nos llena de una sensación de placer o paz, tendemos a describirlo como “bello” o “hermoso”.

Two churches dedicate prayer spaces to St. Monica
“I love St. Monica,” said Meg Aspinwall, the director of faith formation at St. Luke Parish in Plain and St. John the Evangelist Parish in Spring Green. “And I love her story. We all have family members who have either fallen away from the faith or who have chosen other directions or never found the faith, so I always ask for her prayers.”
