MADISON — TEC (Together Encountering Christ) is an intergenerational movement of the Catholic Church designed to help meet the spiritual needs of Catholic Christians and people of other Christian faiths to experience a TEC weekend.
TEC is a weekend experience that is scriptural, gives a well-defined outline of doctrine, presents liturgy in attractive forms, and brings the Gospel message alive through the witness of a community of adults and young people centered around Christ.
Holy Family Homeschoolers to present double feature high school drama
WAUNAKEE — The public is invited to join the Holy Family Homeschoolers for a “double feature” high school drama production on Friday, Jan. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Waunakee High School Theater.
The first play is The Adventures of Nate the Great, a legendary boy who is the sharpest kid detective ever to solve his neighborhood’s mysteries. Abortion funding: Cut off taxpayer-funded ‘blood supply’ to Planned Parenthood
Americans have long been disturbed by the fraud and waste that often surrounds the federal government’s use of their tax dollars. They now have further reason to be up in arms because of the way those tax dollars support the practice of abortion, even though such support, technically speaking, remains illegal.
The 1976 Hyde Amendment, a rider attached by Congress to federal spending bills each year, states that federal tax dollars — particularly for Medicaid — cannot be used to pay for abortions.

Woman’s Club opens hearts to children in need
MADISON — The Madison Catholic Woman’s Club (MCWC) opens their hearts to children at their annual Christmas luncheon by bringing gifts of toys and clothing to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Little Drummer program.
This year’s luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 11, will be held at Nakoma Golf Club, 4145 Country Club Rd., at 12 noon.
