Perpetual Adoration Chapel dedicated

MADISON — Dennis Ganser, a parishioner at the Cathedral Parish and the proprietor of Ganser exteriors, had been an adorer for a number of years at the Perpetual Adoration Chapel at Holy Redeemer Church.
Inspired by a strong spiritual impetus from our Blessed Mother, he was moved to donate a striking antique wooden statue of the Virgin Mary to the Adoration chapel. Indeed, the new statue of Mary brought new life to the chapel.
But it was only the beginning. Mary knew Ganser’s predilection for improving and perfecting — his talent for bringing both beauty and functionality to the exterior of homes throughout Southwestern Wisconsin. And so the design of an Adoration chapel more worthy of our Lord had begun.

Vigil for Life will host “Empty Manger” caroling on the sidewalk outside Planned Parenthood at 3706 Orin Rd. in Madison on Thursday, Dec. 23, from 5 to 6 p.m.
Two new priests ordained: ‘God’s gift to the diocese’
“This is God’s Christmas gift to the Diocese of Madison that we’re celebrating tonight,” said Bishop Robert C. Morlino as he welcomed people to the ordination Mass for Deacons Chad Michael Droessler and John David Putzer.
Choir to host ‘Lessons and Carols’
MADISON — People are invited to join the Madison Diocesan Choir, directed by Dr. Patrick Gorman, for its performance of “Lessons and Carols” for one night only, on Sunday, Dec. 19, at 4 p.m., at the Bishop O’Connor Center.
Bishop Robert C. Morlino will preside. The performance is free, but a collection of non-perishable food items will be taken.

MADISON — One of the corporal works of mercy — part of the Catholic teaching of the virtues of showing compassion for and alleviating the misfortune of others — is to visit the sick.
