Drawing down divine mercy on families

On February 25, 2010August 28, 2024
--

SAUK CITY — Starting March 3 through Divine Mercy Sunday, April 11, join the Apostolate for Family Consecration, St. Aloysius Parish and St. Mary Parish, and cluster parishes St. Norbert, St. Barnabas, and St. John the Baptist as they pray for the outpouring of Divine Mercy on families and the country.

They will be praying for the protection of families and the sanctity of marriage and human life, for those struggling with unemployment, for the recovery of our economy, for the safety of military personnel in the Middle East, and for grace and guidance for civil leaders.

For 40 days, the group will reflect on God’s greatest attribute using the Drawing Down Divine Mercy Prayer and Meditation book.

Drawing Down Divine Mercy Prayer and Meditation book is a complete presentation on the richness of the Divine Mercy devotion. It features excerpts taken from Pope John Paul II’s encyclical, Rich in Mercy, and St. Faustina’s writings arranged into 40 daily meditations. It also includes the prayers for the Divine Mercy novena to be prayed from Good Friday until Divine Mercy Sunday.

Pope John Paul II spoke often of the strength of Divine Mercy. During the Jubilee Year 2000, he officially designated the second Sunday of Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday, or the Feast of Mercy, to show the trust he placed in the devotion.

Interested individuals may purchase a copy of Drawing Down Divine Mercy at St. Aloysius parish office (608-643-2449) or visit www.familyland.org and click on Drawing Down Divine Mercy for free resources including the book, Drawing Down Divine Mercy, and video and audio items.
