The Diocese of Madison has announced the creation of a new merged parish — St. Cletus Parish — effective September 20.
The merger of St. Cletus Parish unites the church communities of St. Joseph Parish in Edgerton, St. Paul Parish in Evansville, St. Augustine Parish in Footville, Holy Mother of Consolation Parish in Oregon, and St. Ann Parish in Stoughton.
St. Ann School in Stoughton is also part of the parish.
Fr. David Wanish will serve as the pastor with Fr. Randy Budnar and Fr. John Bosco Pudhota serving as parochial vicars.
Deacon Mark Priniski will serve as parish deacon.
A Mass of installation for Father Wanish will be celebrated at a later date.
A future Catholic Herald article will cover the installation and more about the merger.
