SINSINAWA — Dominican Sister Margaruite Zralek (Etienne) died March 19, 2007, at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa. The Mass of Resurrection was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa March 23 followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sister Marguerite made her first religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican August 5, 1944, and her final profession August 5, 1947. She was an elementary teacher for eight years, a high school English teacher for 24 years, and principal/assistant principal for 15 years. Sister Margeurite also served in pastoral ministry for 15 years. She served in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois.
In the Diocese of Madison, Sister Marguerite taught at Our Lady Queen of Peace School, Madison, 1949-1953.
