The Diocese of Madison has announced the merger of a new parish — Queen of Martyrs — as of May 10.
This unites the church communities of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, St. Jude Parish, and St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, all in Beloit, and St. Stephen Parish in Clinton. Our Lady of the Assumption School is also part of the parish.
Fr. Bart Timmerman will serve as pastor with Fr. James Murphy and Fr. Lawrence Oparaji serving as parochial vicars.
A Mass of installation will take place at a later date.
