MONTELLO — St. John the Baptist Parish in Montello and Good Shepherd Parish in Westfield are hosting a Lenten mission nightly from Monday, April 4, to Wednesday, April 6.
Each session runs from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. and will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 277 E. Montello St., Montello.
Presented by Deacon Ralph Poyo of New Evangelization Ministries, the mission is titled “Call to the Deep.” Monday evening’s topic is “God’s Saving Plan” and asks the question “Do you know the saving plan of God?” Tuesday will discuss spiritual warfare and how one can fight the temptation of evil in our present culture. Wednesday, the final night, will cover “Living in the Holy Spirit”.
Deacon Poyo is known as a dynamic, powerful, and challenging speaker who has presented missions throughout the country.
