Public Square Rosary Crusade to be held in Green Lake

On March 17, 2016
Kevin Wondrash

GREEN LAKE — The 2016 Traditional Marriage Public Square Rosary Crusade will be held on Saturday, March 19, in downtown Green Lake. Prayer will begin at 12 noon at Deacon Mills Park, corner of Mill and South Sts.

In The Secret of the Rosary, St. Louis de Montfort said, “Public prayer is more powerful than private prayer to appease the anger of God and call down His mercy, and Holy Mother Church, guided by the Holy Ghost, has always advocated public prayer in times of public tragedy and suffering.”

Traditional marriage deserves public recognition. Due to the sexual revolution, society’s understanding of true marriage has become blurred. Let us charitably remind our fellow Americans that true marriage is between one man and one woman.

March 19 is the feast day of St. Joseph. He is “the spouse of the Mother of God” and “the Pillar of Families.” These rallies throughout the United States are being held in his honor seeking his intervention to restore traditional marriage and to protect families. When marriage and families are healthy, so is America.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the prayers and petitions. This national crusade is organized by America Needs Fatima and is sponsored locally by the Council of Catholic Women of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Green Lake. Prayer handouts and free Rosaries will be available.

For more information, contact Joyce Hayes at 920-294-0233 or Janet Busboom at 920-295-4137.
