WONEWOC — Godlieve M. Rott, 88, died on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at her home in Wonewoc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m., at Holy Family Church, 310 Bluff St., La Valle, with her son, Fr. Bernard Rott, presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Scripture service at 8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 402 Center St., Wonewoc. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Ironton Township.
She was born July 15, 1928, in Reedsburg, the daughter of Albert and Eliza (Lisburg) Schyvinch. She married Robert J. Rott on June 23, 1951, at Sacred Heart Church in Reedsburg.
She was an active member of Holy Family Parish in La Valle and the Council of Catholic Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and one grandchild.
She is survived by her children, Fr. Bernard Rott of Dickeyville-Kieler; Leonard (Linda) Rott, Baraboo; Barbara (Denny) Meyer, Reedsburg; Carl Rott, Wonewoc; Benedict (Kathy) Rott, Reedsburg; and Dennis Rott, Wonewoc; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Madelene Schyvinch, Reedsburg; sisters-in-law Alice Schyvinch, Baraboo, and Barbara LaVonne Schyvinch, Reedsburg.
