Bishop Donald Hying joins the bishops of Wisconsin in decrying Planned Parenthood’s plan to resume abortions, after a Dane County judge’s decision to allow a suit, challenging Wisconsin’s abortion laws, to continue in early July.
Venerate the relics of St. Jude on September 14 in Madison
On Thursday, Sept. 14, the relics of St. Jude Thaddeus, one of the 12 Apostles, will be at St. Maria Goretti Parish here in Madison available for public veneration. The church will be open from 1 to 10 p.m. to pray to the Lord, seek the powerful intercession of St. Jude, and venerate his relics. I will be presiding at a special bilingual Mass at 7 p.m., to which everyone is invited.

In his homily on the Solemnity of the Annunciation in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Monona, Bishop Donald J. Hying of Madison said “one could possibly posit that there’s never been a precise historical moment in the entire unfolding of Salvation History when more people have been praying at exactly the same time for exactly the same thing. And, that is a fulfillment of the request that Our Lady made at Fatima for the consecration of Russia and for world peace.”
