St. John Catholic School schedules Golf Benefit

PRINCETON — Plans are underway for St. John Catholic School in Princeton’s 19th annual Golf Benefit to be held on Saturday, May 18, at Sondalle’s White Lake Country Club, Montello.

Price is $75 per person. This is the same price as last year in the hopes of increasing participation. Cost includes 18 holes of golf, cart, and dinner. The cost for full members of Sondalle’s White Lake Country Club is $50 per person.

St. Joseph School Home and School Association to host ninth annual golf outing

FORT ATKINSON — On Sunday, July 15, St. Joseph School’s Home and School Association will be hosting its ninth annual golf outing at the Koshkonong Mounds Country Club located at W7670 Koshkonong Mounds Rd., Fort Atkinson.

Registration is at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Golfing is $35 for members and $75 for non-members.

St. John Catholic School holds 16th annual Golf Benefit

MONTELLO — St. John Catholic School in Princeton will host hits 16th annual Golf Benefit on Sunday, May 15, at White Lake Country Club, Montello. The price is $75 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, and dinner.

The first place team will receive $300, second place $200, and third place $100. In addition, hole prizes, raffles, ball toss, betting holes, mulligans, and a skins game will be available. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.

Princeton school plans Golf Benefit

PRINCETON — Plans are underway for St. John Catholic School’s 15th annual Golf Benefit to be held on Sunday, May 17, at White Lake Country Club in Montello, with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

The monies raised have helped offset the operating costs for the school.

The four-person team scramble costs $100 per person for each four-person team. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and dinner.

Golfer wins, NBC loses

It was so refreshing to see Rory McIlroy win this year’s U.S. Open golf tournament in Bethesda, Md.

Of course, we would always like to have an American win this coveted trophy. But being of Irish descent myself, I was pleased to see McIlroy triumph.

In his first win in a major golf tournament, he broke 12 records. He is the youngest player to win the Open since Bobby Jones in 1923.
