Sr. Alicia Torres to visit Watertown Catholic for dessert competition

WATERTOWN — Watertown Catholic invites people to participate in a dessert competition judged by Sr. Alicia Torres and other special judges. Sister Alicia will also share her story/testimony.

The event will take place on Monday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Henry Parish Center, 412 N. Fourth St.

Sr. Alicia Torres, FE, is a member of the Franciscans of the Eucharist of Chicago. She studied theology at Loyola University and Mundelein Seminary. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in teaching at Dominican University in River Forest.

St. Thomas More Society to host annual meeting and Feast Day Mass

St. Thomas More was a king’s trusted advisor, a man dedicated to his faith, and a lawyer who gave up his wealth, his good name, and the security of his family to follow his conscience. For his heroic efforts, he is revered and it is in order to try to emulate him that St. Thomas More Societies were founded.

The St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Madison invites all to attend the Madison Diocesan Red Mass on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick Church, 404 E. Main St. Bishop Robert C. Morlino will be the celebrant and homilist.
