Almost 104 years ago, eight Sisters of St. Mary (now the Franciscan Sisters of Mary) helped to establish a 70-bed hospital in Madison called St. Mary’s Hospital.
“This is really a miracle,” said Norberta Lewis from Necedah.
The first-time guest of the Diocese of Madison’s Apostolate to the Handicapped Day at the Dells was amazed and impressed that a priest would bring Communion to her seat, a volunteer would bring her sack lunch, and she, and her friend Margaret Gabay, also from Necedah, would get a chance to see a performance of the Tommy Bartlett Water Show.
“We thank God in a special way today for all of your forefathers and foremothers on whose shoulders the faith of this parish stands,” said Bishop Robert C. Morlino at the start of Mass on August 20 at St. Mary of the Lake Church in Westport.
“We have much to celebrate today,” said Bishop Robert C. Morlino of Madison. “We’re just beginning.”

“What a joy it is to be here with such fine witnesses of fidelity,” said Bishop Robert C. Morlino of Madison.
“Life with Christ is a wonderful adventure.”

That’s what a normal week at Totus Tuus is like.
Before it begins its official life as a place of worship, St. Cecilia Church in Wisconsin Dells will serve for one afternoon as a musical venue.
