Lessons and Carols in Beloit

BELOIT — Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) Parish will celebrate Lessons and Carols on Saturday, Jan. 3, beginning at 7 p.m. in the church, 2222 Shopiere Rd.

The 30-voice OLA Parish Choir, under the direction of Randy Gracyalny, will be joined by instrumentalists from the parish and area to provide an uplifting prayer and musical experience.

‘Make it orange, make it end’

BELOIT — On Wednesday, Oct. 22, students at Our Lady of the Assumption School in Beloit dressed in orange to bring awareness to the issue of bullying.

October 22 was National Unity Day, and wearing orange signified a message of support, hope, and unity.

Gracyalny family shares musical talents

BELOIT — It’s a spirited group when three generations of the Gracyalny family gather to share their significant musical talents.

In appreciation for their faith and sharing their musical gifts, they will present “The Gracyalny Family Concert” featuring top hits of the 1950s and 1960s on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. in Assumption Hall at Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) Church.

They promise an evening of vocal and instrumental music, goodwill, and a variety of homemade desserts.

Arlene McMorran celebrates 25 years as principal

Among accolades honoring Arlene McMorran for serving 25 years as Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) School principal is the Outstanding Catholic Educator Award in the Diocese of Madison. The honorary plaque was recently presented to McMorran by Madison Diocesan Superintendent of Schools Michael Lancaster.
