It’s time for the minority of Americans who don’t yet embrace a pro-life position to realize that the status of children in the womb is the key civil rights problem of our day. Martin Luther King Jr. preached that “When we truly believe in the sacredness of human personality, we won’t exploit people, we won’t trample over people with the iron feet of oppression, we won’t kill anybody” (Christmas sermon, 1967).
Despite news that the plans were dropped for the Madison Surgery Center (MSC) to begin offering late-term abortions, questions remain after a statement from UW Health was released May 5.
Pro-life groups are claiming victory following the announcement that plans have been dropped to perform abortions at the Madison Surgery Center (MSC).

The January 22, 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe vs. Wade which legalized abortion set in motion a fierce debate in this country. The court decision has not been overturned, but there are signs of hope as we begin the year 2010.
