MADISON — The Madison Catholic Woman’s Club (MCWC) opens their hearts to children at their annual Christmas luncheon by bringing gifts of toys and clothing to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Little Drummer program.
This year’s luncheon is at Rex’s Innkeeper, 301 Century Ave., Waunakee, on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 12 noon.
Al Anderson, retired music educator, professional trombonist, and music historian will present “Sounds of the Season: Holiday Songs Like You’ve Never Heard Them.”JANESVILLE — Students and staff at St. John Vianney (SJV) School in Janesville recently got a chance to hear stories of the recent storm damage in the southern U.S. and how their donations helped out other schoolchildren there.
Eleven students from Houston recently came to Janesville to run in the Midwest Invitational Cross Country Meet.
During that time, those students visited the school and shared with SJV students and staff firsthand what it was like in Houston during, and after, Hurricane Harvey.
STOUGHTON — “Our Faith Stories” at St. Ann Parish will feature Bruce Teague and Kate Schieldt sharing their faith stories on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in Healy Hall.
Bruce Teague is a witness for how inspiring and uplifting it is for someone who is battling an illness to know that others are praying and will share a special encounter with one of God’s messengers.STOUGHTON — St. Ann Parish at 324 North Harrison St. in Stoughton will hold a Holiday Gift Fair on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Proceeds will help defray expenses for youth mission trips and other events.
MADISON — On Sunday, Nov. 5, St. Dennis Parish will welcome Dr. Robert Enright to present the parish’s fall mission: “The Church as a Forgiving Community.”
As the founder of the International Forgiveness Institute here in Madison, Dr. Enright has been referred to as the “trailblazer of forgiveness” by Time Magazine.
An educational psychologist by training, he has built a 30-year academic career committed to researching and implementing forgiveness programs and curricula.
ASHTON — St. Peter Parish in Ashton is a drop-off center spot for the Cross Catholic Outreach Box of Joy program the week of November 4 through November 12.
The drop-off center hours at St. Peter will be: November 4 (6:30-7:30 p.m.), November 11 (2-4 p.m.), and November 12 (10 a.m.-12 noon). Boxes will be collected in the church gathering room, 7121 CR K, Middleton 53562. A team of volunteers will be there to greet people.
PORTAGE — St. Mary School in Portage is hosting a Trivia Night on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the school, 315 W. Cook St. Doors open at 6 p.m. with trivia starting at 7 p.m.

FORT ATKINSON — St. Joseph Parish and School will host a 40 Hours Devotion.
This devotion dates back and was developed during the Middle Ages, after the Feast of Corpus Christi was extended to the Universal Church.
Corpus Christi is known for its street processions with the Blessed Sacrament, even in our own time. St. Philip Neri and St. Ignatius adopted the 40 Hours Devotion in reparation for sin, which brought many blessings and conversions.
STOUGHTON — “Our Faith Stories” is beginning again at St. Ann Parish.
Each month, people enjoy hearing about the faith journey of another, which gives inspiration and hope on their own journeys.
The first date is Sunday, Oct. 1. Rollie Budnar (father of St. Ann Pastor Fr. Randy Budnar) and Rita Ihm will be speaking. Rita’s talk will focus on listening, while Rollie’s theme is “Growing in faith in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit through the Church.”
