The graces received through the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico in 1531 still continue to transform people today, Fr. David Johannes told women attending a Marian Day of Renewal held recently at St. Bernard Parish in Middleton.
St. Mary of the Lake to hold Country Fair
WESTPORT — St. Mary of the Lake Parish, 5460 Mary Lake Rd., off Hwy. M, will hold its 52nd annual Country Fair on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A roast beef dinner starts at 11 a.m., and a “Holiday Shopper’s Delight” features the kick-off sale of St. Mary’s famous fruitcakes.
There will also be arts and crafts, resale gifts, raffle baskets, and a silent auction, along with a bake sale and other refreshments. Attendees will also be able to enjoy autumn in the pumpkin patch and outdoor flea market.
