We must work to end ‘slaughter of the innocents’

On December 4, 2008October 4, 2023
Deacon Jack Fernan, Madison

To the editor:

In our Christ the King Sunday Gospel, Jesus proclaims: “Amen I say to you. What you did NOT do for one of these least ones, you did NOT do for me.” And these will go off to eternal punishment.

The election of a radical pro-abortion president bodes terribly for the baby, the least. Without life, babies have no choice.

Parents in one country are allowed to choose how long their baby will live. No birth certificate is given until the parents request it. Parents can have the baby/toddler euthanized when they determine so.

The life of a baby must be safe guarded or no one is safe. General Motors saved? Iraq War ceased? The environment safe guarded? Babies will be aborted — killed.

When Judgment Day comes, what will be the evidence that we advocated for and saved the baby?

God is a merciful judge, but God’s Justice will demand a just record. There can be no “just war” on babies; we must be faithful citizens working strenuously to change hearts.

We must end this horrendous policy and reality of the “slaughter of the innocents.”

Deacon Jack Fernan, Madison
