Atheists and their associates in the scientific community have lately garnered considerable publicity.
Stephen Hawking, the famed British cosmologist, is the latest entry. When believers try to rebut them by asserting that God created the universe, they often leave the impression that God is a solitary individual who arbitrarily made something out of nothing.
The reality is quite different. Creation stems from God’s very nature, a dynamic trio of three infinite persons. The first person, the Father, clones the second person, the Son. The unlimited attraction between these two persons is so strong that it is alive: the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Love.
The Trinity is a divine family. This love constantly seeks to expand. The expansion has a name, big bang, the act of creation.
Since God is eternal, there may be an infinite number of universes. In the book of Exodus God calls Himself Jahweh, which means I am Who am; an endless existence of Love which caused the gravitation and quantum zigzags which Hawking believes started the universe.
The creation story in Genesis is not a literal explanation of what happened, but rather an account geared to the incomplete knowledge of our ancestors.
