The Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation (CDMF) is pleased to announce the addition of two members to its Board of Directors.
We welcome Jane Tereba and Megan Wedwick, both of whom bring valuable professional experience to their new board member roles.
Jane Tereba
Tereba is president of Capital Valuation Group which provides business and intangible asset valuations and consulting services. Prior to joining there, Tereba’s professional experience included more than 15 years in public accounting.
She is a member of the American and Wisconsin Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and is a Member of the American Society of Appraisers.
Tereba obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Tereba grew up in Madison as a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish. She joined St. Maria Goretti Parish for a number of years before returning to Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish a few years ago.
She and her husband, Dan, and their family live in Oregon. They have three children, Brandon (14), Melanie (12), and Logan (10).
When not at work, Tereba enjoys playing tennis and golf and traveling.
Tereba joined the CDMF’s development committee, where she will assist with the ongoing rebrand effort being undertaken by the CDMF, as well as engaging in various development initiatives, among many other activities.
“Serving on the Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation Board is a privilege and a calling. It allows me to help strengthen the Church’s mission, support our faith community, and ensure that future generations have the resources to grow in Christ’s love,” Tereba said after a recent board meeting.
Megan Wedwick
Wedwick is the director of the Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities (APD) in the Diocese of Madison. The Apostolate’s mission is to promote the inclusion and participation of people with disabilities and mental health challenges in the life of the Church. Their work helps to engage all members of the Body of Christ in the Great Commission, the instruction given by Jesus to His disciples to spread the Gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:16-20).
Prior to joining the APD, Wedwick worked at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Madison as a pastoral associate, at Catholic Charities Diocese of Madison and Family Works as a residential care manager, and with The Evangelical Catholic as a missionary.
Wedwick is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in rehabilitation psychology.
Wedwick grew up in Prairie du Chien.
She was active in ministry at St. Paul’s University Catholic Center on campus at UW-Madison, later joining Blessed Sacrament Parish, and then had a short stint as a parishioner at St. Joseph in Baraboo, before landing at her current parish St. Aloysius Church (Mary, Mother of Mercy Pastorate) in Sauk City.
She and her husband, Nathan, their infant daughter Magdalene, and pup Bjorn live in Prairie du Sac.
Wedwick enjoys outdoor activities such as being on the water, hunting, fishing, and hiking; board games; jigsaw puzzles; and quality time with friends and family.
Wedwick joined the CDMF’s grant review committee where she will assist with grantmaking decisions and ongoing granting initiatives.
“I’m honored to have been asked by the CDMF to join the board. I am blessed to have experience in many areas of ministry, and in my role at the Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities, I have the opportunity not only to encounter people from all over the diocese but to also hear and see what is going on at parishes and programs throughout, in particular, what needs exist to make them more accessible and welcoming to those of all abilities.
“One of my favorite parts of my job is sharing information and stories that are enlightening to others, providing them with a new perspective or approach. I hope to have many opportunities to do this as a CDMF board member.”
The CDMF provides grants, charitable distributions, and financial support to various parishes, schools, and nonprofits throughout the Diocese of Madison.
