Divine Mercy Day of Reflection to be held in Lancaster

On March 12, 2015
Cathy Lins, Catholic Herald Correspondent

LANCASTER — St. Clement Parish will host a Divine Mercy Day of Reflection on Saturday, March 28. Dr. Bryan Thatcher and Annie Karto, from the Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy (EADM), will be the featured speakers.

The day will begin with Mass at 8:15 a.m. followed by registration at 8:45 a.m. and the program from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The program is an opportunity to learn more about Divine Mercy and the Eucharist.

Dr. Bryan Thatcher is the founder and director of EADM, an apostolate of the Marian Fathers in Stockbridge, Mass. The author of several books on Divine Mercy, he has traveled the world speaking on God’s mercy and the Eucharist.

Annie Karto is a singer-songwriter who has produced several best-selling CDs. Over 20 years ago, after a deep conversion experience before the Blessed Eucharist, she was given the penance to spread the Lord’s Divine Mercy.

The EADM supports spiritual formation for the laity and works of mercy. It offers seminars and a guided study program for prayer communities that includes the study of Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and St. Faustina’s Diary.

EADM nurtures belief in the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist. The apostolate promotes Eucharistic Adoration, together with hourly praying of The Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick and dying. EADM provides many works of mercy, including shipment of medical and educational materials to the poor and prison ministries.

St. Clement Parish will use the day to highlight its new parish program for the sick and dying as part of an effort to help revitalize their members’ faith, families, and parish during this Lenten season.

To learn more about the EADM, visit www.thedivine mercy.org/eadm

To register for the program, contact Teresa at 608-778-1108. Pre-registration is $20 for adults and $10 for students, or at the door $25 for adults and $15 for students.

Checks should be made payable to St. Clement Parish, with “Divine Mercy” listed in the memo. Payment should be mailed to St. Clement Parish, c/o Divine Mercy Day of Reflection, 135 S. Washington St., Lancaster, WI 53813.
