BOSCOBEL — The Vatican International “Eucharistic Miracles of the World” exhibit will be at Corpus Christi Parish, at the Immaculate Conception Church hall in Boscobel, on May 27 to 29: Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. The exhibit is open to the public.
Eucharistic Adoration will be available in the church while the exhibit is on, followed by Benediction each day. The DVD Science Tests Faith, a presentation on research done in this area, will also be on display in the hall. People willing to be adorers for Adoration during the exhibit would be welcomed.
What exhibit includes
The exhibit, which features large posters depicting miracles in the Holy Eucharist from across the world, is sponsored by the Real Presence Eucharistic Education and Adoration Association.
With an extensive assortment of photographs and historical descriptions, the exhibition presents some of the principal Eucharistic miracles that took place throughout the ages in various countries of the world and which have been recognized by the Church.
By means of the panels, one can “virtually visit” the places where the miracles took place.
The current exhibition includes 151 panels that are used to explain 153 Eucharistic miracles with an additional 22 country and historical panel maps.
The Eucharistic miracles shown in this exhibition have all been recognized by local bishops. Some miracles were also recognized with papal bull but not all the miracles were recognized by the pope.

The Real Presence Eucharistic Education and Adoration Association, founded by the late Fr. John Hardon, SJ, is a nationally focused apostolate promoting Eucharistic education and perpetual adoration.
Their start-up manual contains the principals of Eucharistic Adoration according to Church teaching, counsel for leadership by local pastors, and pointers for parish catechesis and for setting up a chapel for Adoration.
Eucharistic miracles
On many occasions throughout the history of the Catholic Church, God has provided visible proof of the invisible reality of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. These miracles, involving the Blessed Sacrament, have transformed skeptics into believers.
The miracles presented in the display are as different as the circumstances and people who witnessed them. Some took place when there were doubts or when hope was needed.
The exhibit features occurrences such as at Lanciano, Italy, in the eighth century, when the consecrated host became living heart tissue and the wine became blood, both of which are still on display in Italy.
In other cases, miracles and apparitions took place. In 1290 in Paris, for example, a nonbeliever failed to destroy a consecrated host, and in 1822 in Bordeaux, France, an apparition of Jesus came to a Benediction. In 1906 in Colombia, Fr. Gerardo Larrondo held a monstrance as he led his parishioners to the beach to calm a tsunami.
Learning about these and other miracles has already had a profound impact on previous viewers. Many people, especially those who have never heard of miracles attributed to the Eucharist, leave the exhibit with a new or renewed appreciation of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
