MADISON — Francis R. Baxter, father of Msgr. Thomas Baxter, pastor of St. James and St. Joseph Parishes in Madison, died at All Saints Assisted Living Center in Madison on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010. He was 89 years old.
Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Scripture service beginning at 7 p.m .at Gunderson Funeral Home, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg. (608-442-5002).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at St. James Church, 1128 St. James Ct., Madison, preceded by a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. The celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Monsignor Baxter.
