Dear Friends in Christ,
Thank you all for your overwhelming generosity in giving of your spiritual and material goods in order to aid our sisters and brothers in Haiti.
People from all corners of the diocese: parishes, schools, as well as individuals and groups, Catholic and non-Catholic, have, together, contributed $453,989.67 for the great work of Catholic Relief Services. I am certain too, that your prayers have been just as generous.
This is a wonderful testimony of the great good that can be accomplished when we come together to pray for and to help our neighbor in need, for the love of God. For this, you are all to be commended. Praised be Jesus Christ!
