MADISON — Catholic Charities has announced that Hope Haven, a Catholic Charities company, will be consolidating their programs and services from three facilities to two, effective on July 31 of this year.
The Hope Haven program, located at 425 W. Johnson St. in Madison, will be relocated to 3602 Memorial Dr., the current location of the North Bay Lodge program.
The building on W. Johnson St. will no longer be utilized for drug and alcohol treatment services and the Colvin Manor program will no longer be available.
Continuing quality program
Bruce Nicholas, director of Hope Haven, said, “The Hope Haven Company will continue to provide quality drug and alcohol recovery as it has since 1973. The focus has been on residential treatment in an effort to restore lives for those with alcohol and drug addiction.
“Hope Haven effectively treats both alcohol and drug addiction, creates stability for the person fighting addiction, and assists in securing housing and employment upon discharge. We are very proud of the success rates of those completing our treatment programs.”
Better serve clients’ needs
Jackson Fonder, Catholic Charities president/CEO, confirmed that this consolidation of programs and facilities will better serve the clients’ needs.
The American Medical Association recognizes drug dependency and alcoholism as illnesses that can be successfully treated. The earlier these problems are both acknowledged and resolved, the better the chance of recovery; but, left untreated, these illnesses can progress with devastating results on the individual, family and community.
Catholic Charities of Madison manages “Hope Haven,” a private nonprofit offering comprehensive and affordable alcohol and drug treatment services addressing all issues related to recovery.
Residential treatment programs are certified by the State of Wisconsin and licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Programs are staffed 24/7 and offer case management, individual counseling, and group counseling. Services are provided regardless of religion, race, or ethnic background, because Catholic Charities believes that every person needs to be treated with respect and dignity.
