BENTON — The Mazzuchelli Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus of Lancaster announced the annual memorial Mass to honor the Venerable Father Samuel Mazzuchelli will be held at St. Patrick Church in Benton on Sunday, Aug. 22, at 3 p.m.
Immediately following the Mass the Mazzuchelli Assembly will sponsor a steak or chicken breast dinner, rolls, salad, potato, vegetable, and desert, in St. Patrick Reception Hall along with the annual raffle in support of the restoration and preservation of the 1844 St. Augustine Church and the proposed visiting center at the church grounds.
Tours of St. Augustine Church in New Diggings will be available that day starting at 10 a.m. with tours each half hour with a final tour at 2 p.m. The assembly is requesting a $5 donation for the tour of the newly restored church.
