Merger expands youth ministry opportunities

On September 7, 2017
Kevin Wondrash

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee-based ministries formerly known as WYRE Ministries and Arise Ministries have announced a new partnership moving forward as Arise Milwaukee.

This merging of ministries better equips the Arise Milwaukee community to serve the needs of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, as well as pursuing new endeavors for youth throughout the state.

All regular ministries will continue, including Arise Saturday Nights, Cor Jesu (in partnership with the Vocations Office, St. Robert Parish, and Brew City Catholic), the Encounter Milwaukee young adult conference (in partnership with Franciscan University of Steubenville), the Wisconsin Catholic Youth Rallies for high school and middle school teens, and the Summit retreat for youth leaders.

Anticipated new efforts of Arise Milwaukee include ongoing support of youth ministers better equipping them to serve their parishes, hosting Confirmation retreats on behalf of the archdiocese, and the organization and administration of archdiocesan trips to Steubenville conferences.

For more information, visit Arise Milwaukee on the web at http://www.arisemke.org on Facebook @AriseMilwaukee on Twitter @AriseMilwaukee and on Instagram at AriseMilwaukee
