Our Lady of the Assumption Spring Fling in Beloit

Pat Casucci, Catholic Herald Correspondent

BELOIT — A lucky online bidder at Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) School’s Spring Fling will have the opportunity to have dinner with Bishop Donald J. Hying of Madison, Pastor Fr. Mike Resop, and six others at the Butterfly Club, Beloit’s fine dining supper club.

The Spring Fling takes place Saturday, May 15, at La Casa Grande Banquet Room in downtown Beloit.

“Though the dinner reservation deadline has passed, we welcome parishioners and the public to bid online for all the appealing silent auction items,” said Chairperson Aron Bussan.

Capacity restrictions prevent a live auction this year, he added.

Principal Trevor Sievert stated, “This is our school’s largest fundraiser and we look forward to continuing its growth.”

Another Spring Fling feature, according to Bussan, who is an alumnus of the school, is the chance to win four one-day park hopper passes to Disney World, Orlando, Fla.

The passes can be used anytime through the end of the year 2022.

The winning ticket will be drawn at the Spring Fling.

“The value of the passes is $800 and only 150 tickets will be sold, allowing everyone an excellent chance to win,” said Bussan.

Tickets for this raffle are $10 each, or 12 for $100. The winner does not need to be present.

Sievert said, “The Spring Fling evening offers an opportunity for camaraderie with music provided by the Beloit Memorial High School Jazz Quartet.”

Bidding for the silent auction begins at noon on Friday, May 14, and ends at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 16.

All auction items can be viewed online. To bid, Text “sf21” to 243725 or go to bidpal.net/sf21

Successful bidders can pay by credit card, check, or cash.

Items can be picked up at the school office from Tuesday, May 18, until Friday, May 21.

For information on raffle ticket sales and the online silent auction, call OLA School at: 608-365-4014.
