PORTAGE — St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Portage recently announced plans for a capital fund drive to its members.
The effort will be entitled the “Our Church-Our Future” campaign.
Its aim is to raise the funds required to renovate and expand the church and parish facilities.
A minimum goal of $3,500,000 has been set for the effort which will enable the parish to break ground on the project.
Reaching or exceeding the challenge goal of $5,000,000 will allow the parish to complete the various improvement needs without incurring any debt.
The campaign will officially commence with a special kick-off celebration scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 28, and will culminate on commitment weekend on Sunday, April 18.
Members and select others will be personally visited and invited to support the project before or by then.
Walsh and Associates, Church Capital Campaign Specialists, a Burnsville, Minn.-based fundraising consulting firm, is providing campaign advice and assistance.
