Very Rev. Tait C. Schroeder, Vicar General, announces the following priest appointments made by Most Rev. Donald J. Hying, Bishop of Madison:
- Rev. Fr. Piotr Janas, SChr, to Parochial Vicar of the parishes of St. John Paul II Pastorate (comprised of St. Joseph, Baraboo; Holy Angels Parish’s La Valle site; Sacred Heart, Reedsburg; and St. Cecilia, Wisconsin Dells), with special emphasis for Polish language priestly ministry to the Polish community in and near the Wisconsin Dells, in accord with can. 545 and can. 682 CIC, from Parochial Vicar of Holy Trinity Polish Mission in Chicago, Illinois, effective August 30, 2024.
- Rev. John A. Silva, to Chaplain at University of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics and UnityPoint Health Meriter Hospital in accord with can. 565 CIC, effective September 13, 2024. Rev. Shravan Kumar Allam will continue to serve as chaplain to the same institutions until his projected return to the Diocese of Warangal (India) sometime in October due to medical reasons.
