Rachel’s Vineyard retreats offer healing after abortion

On February 26, 2014May 30, 2024
--

MADISON — Rachel’s Vineyard will offer a weekend retreat Friday through Sunday, March 21 to 23, for anyone whose life has been touched by the pain of abortion.

The retreat provides an opportunity away from the pressures of everyday living to focus on this haunting pain and to begin healing through a supportive and trauma-sensitive process.

Scriptures, meditations, and exercises throughout the weekend are designed to help each participant experience the love, mercy, and compassion of God.

Comments from participants

The following are comments from those who have attended a retreat:

• “To anyone considering the need to reconcile their abortion, the retreat is a wonderful gift that you could give yourself.”

• “I experienced a great inner healing as a result of attending the Rachel’s Vineyard weekend. I highly recommend this program to anyone who has felt the void and shame of the abortion experience.”

• “Rachel’s Vineyard has far surpassed all my expectations. I have never witnessed so much healing and relief from anything else I have observed or experienced.”

All faiths welcome

While Rachel’s Vineyard has a strong foundation in Catholicism, people of all faiths are welcome. The retreat team consisting of a facilitator, priest, counselor, and trained support team looks forward to being a companion with you on your journey to deeper healing.

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta wrote, “ I pray that all who participate in Rachel’s Vineyard with the longing to be free and to be healed by Jesus may find Him, the source of true joy, peace, and love, and allow God to restore them to wholeness and happiness. I am praying much for you.”
