On April 16, 2015
Kevin Wondrash

Women of the diocese are invited to spring vicariate meetings scheduled at St. John the Baptist Church, Princeton, April 22; Holy Ghost Church, Dickeyville, April 23; and St. Joseph Church, Baraboo, April 25.

Rosa Ropers, president of the Madison Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (MDCCW), encourages women to attend a gathering to pray, socialize, and learn with other Catholic women in their area.

Women may join MDCCW individually if their parish isn’t affiliated with the council. Membership information can be found at www.mdccw.com

Columbia North Vicariate

PRINCETON — St. John the Baptist Council of Catholic Women (CCW) is hosting the Columbia North Vicariate meeting Wednesday, April 22, beginning with registration at 10 a.m.

Business meeting starts at 10:45, followed by Mass at 12 noon, and lunch at 1. Fr. Dale Grubba, pastor, will present a slide slow and talk on the meeting’s theme, “Walking in the Footsteps of St. Paul.”

Cost is $10 per person. For more information contact Louise Sedarski at 920-361-2492.

Grant Vicariate

DICKEYVILLE — Holy Ghost Parish will host the Grant Vicariate meeting Thursday, April 23, starting with registration at 3 p.m. Business meeting is at 3:30, followed by Mass at 5. Dinner is at 6.

Following dinner, Zayna Thompson, pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Platteville, will speak about “Family Promise of Grant County,” which ties into the meeting’s theme of serving one another with whatever gift each has.

The service project is the food pantry, and each parish council is asked to bring one or two bags of canned food or paper products. The Offertory collection will be given to Prolife Across America.

To register, contact Bernadette Schaefer at 608-723-7475.

Sauk Vicariate

BARABOO — St. Joseph CCW here will host the Sauk Vicariate meeting Saturday, April 25. Registration is at 8:30 a.m., with brunch at 9 and the meeting at 9:30.

At 10:30, Becky Thompson, director of faith formation at St. Joseph Parish for the past 15 years, will provide participants with “the tools to tie together history, the Gospel message, and shoes.”

Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. The Offertory collection will be for People Helping People, a non-profit organization which applies talents of its members with needs within the local Baraboo community.

Send registration form and $10/person (check payable to St. Joseph’s CCW) by April 17 to: Jo Heath, S3590 Pine Knoll Ct., Baraboo, WI 53913. For more information, contact Heath at 608-963-8290.
