STOUGHTON — “Our Faith Stories” at St. Ann Parish will feature Bruce Teague and Kate Schieldt sharing their faith stories on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in Healy Hall.
Bruce Teague is a witness for how inspiring and uplifting it is for someone who is battling an illness to know that others are praying and will share a special encounter with one of God’s messengers.STOUGHTON — “Our Faith Stories” is beginning again at St. Ann Parish.
Each month, people enjoy hearing about the faith journey of another, which gives inspiration and hope on their own journeys.
The first date is Sunday, Oct. 1. Rollie Budnar (father of St. Ann Pastor Fr. Randy Budnar) and Rita Ihm will be speaking. Rita’s talk will focus on listening, while Rollie’s theme is “Growing in faith in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit through the Church.”
Rest has never been something at which I’ve particularly excelled.
Somehow there is always laundry to be folded, children to be fed, dishes to be washed, and stories to be read.
A parent’s job is never done.
And yet, today, I saw just how important rest is.
Amid a busy schedule, somehow my seven-year-old daughter got a full, good night’s rest, uninterrupted by nightmares or early-rising siblings.

Q .I keep hearing how a Catholic therapist makes a world of difference, but I’m not sure how a therapist with a Catholic-Christian worldview would operate differently from a secular therapist. Can you help me understand the difference?
A. Excellent question. Since the answer to this inquiry is very complex, I will only present three ways in which a Catholic therapist’s approach is different from their secular colleagues.
There is a crackle glass bowl in our living room, a decorative bowl we set out for special occasions. It’s stunning, with hand-painted designs in bright colors.
Running through the entire piece are tiny cracks, hairline fissures in the clear glass that forms the bowl. When light shines through it, however, those cracks make the bowl shine more magnificently than before.
