MADISON — The Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation (CDMF) is happy to share some great news from our fundholders over the past few months.
In 2014, St. Dennis Parish in Madison established the St. Dennis Catholic Education Endowment Fund to support both their grade school and religious education programs.
Over the past seven years, the fund has seen significant growth, made possible by the faithful support of the parish and strong investment returns.MADISON — As 2020 comes to a close, the Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation (CDMF) has a lot to be grateful for.
As of October 30, the foundation has reached $55 million in assets under management and expects to finish out the year strong.
Over the past year, more than $225,000 has been distributed to support the programs and operations of parishes and schools.BELOIT — At a time when many activities and efforts have slowed to a crawl, fervent hands and minds are still at work on the stateline in Rock County.
Five area Catholic parishes – Our Lady of the Assumption, St. Thomas, and St. Jude in Beloit; St. Stephen in Clinton; and St. Peter in South Beloit, Ill. – have formed a dedicated planning committee to establish the Stateline Mission Outreach.
The service will provide a day center where those suffering from homelessness can do laundry, take a shower, and share a simple meal together with the volunteers.

Maier has served the CDMF and the Diocese of Madison for the past 19 years. She stepped down from the position to spend more time with her family and her family farm.
MADISON — The Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation, Inc. (CDMF) is excited to announce a new fund that will provide tuition assistance to families seeking a Catholic education at a Diocese of Madison parish grade school (K-8).
The Hathaway Family Tuition Assistance Endowment was established in December of 2018 by a generous gift from Steve and Elaine Hathaway and their families.
When determining how the Hathaways would leave their legacy, Elaine recalled her parents, who made it a priority to have their seven children attend Catholic grade school, only made possible by receiving tuition assistance from their parish.
September 5 marks the celebration of St. Mother Teresa’s feast day. We celebrate her as a saint and draw inspiration from her life committed to serving Christ and His people, especially the poor and suffering.
Mother Teresa was beatified on October 19, 2003, by Pope Saint John Paul II, and Pope Francis canonized her on September 4, 2016.
Mother Teresa set up homes for AIDS patients, prostitutes, battered women, and orphanages for poor children.
WATERLOO — The Island Church Foundation invites the public to visit the historic St. Wenceslaus (Island) Church on Sunday, July 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Edward Langer will speak at 12:30 p.m. about the settlers of The Island in the multi-purpose building next to the church.
Bill “HORSE” Bossingham will entertain guests on the church grounds with his one-man band from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. (bring lawn chairs).WATERLOO — The Island Church Foundation invites the public to visit the historic St. Wenceslaus Church, commonly known to as the Island Church, for the annual St. Wenceslaus Day celebration on Sunday, Sept. 23.
The celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include a Catholic Mass in the church at 2 p.m.
Featured events include a historic tractor display presented by neighbors of the church, and local historian Edward Langer will be on-hand to share ancestral history from his trips to Lanskroun.
WATERLOO — The Island Church Foundation invites the public to visit the historic St. Wenceslaus (Island) Church on Sunday, July 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The day will begin with the rededication of the steeple, which was repaired this spring, at 12 noon. At 12:30 p.m., Steve Balding and Judy Gerstner will talk about the Pyramids of Rock Lake in the multi-purpose building next to the church.
