MADISON — After seven years leading SSM Health’s operations in Wisconsin, Damond Boatwright will be leaving the organization to become CEO of Illinois-based Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS).
Boatwright will lead the system’s nearly 2,300 physician partners and more than 13,000 associate staff in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Boatwright joined SSM Health in 2014 as the Wisconsin Regional President of Hospital Operations.MADISON — Things have moved fast since SSM Health received its first shipment of the Pfizer and the Moderna vaccines in December, but that does not mean people should become lax in the protective measures to guard against the spread of the coronavirus, stressed Mo Kharbat, SSM Health Wisconsin’s regional VP of pharmacy.

MADISON — The Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes (CSA) and SSM Health have signed a letter of intent to transfer sponsorship of Agnesian HealthCare based in Fond du Lac and Monroe Clinic based in Monroe.
The parties will begin a due diligence process with the goal of integrating the hospitals and affiliate organizations within the SSM Health system.

MADISON — SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Madison, in partnership with Home Health United, is hosting a free, community screening of the documentary Being Mortal on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Sr. Mary Jean Ryan Conference Center.
After the screening, audience members can participate in a guided conversation on how to identify and communicate wishes about end-of-life goals and preferences.
Almost 104 years ago, eight Sisters of St. Mary (now the Franciscan Sisters of Mary) helped to establish a 70-bed hospital in Madison called St. Mary’s Hospital.
On December 3 and 4, St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital and Dean Clinic hosted an open house to begin a new chapter in health care for the Rock County and surrounding area.
