Being a Catholic teenager is one of the hardest things to do. In this day and age believing in God is thought of as a disease. People make fun of Catholic beliefs and it is getting out of hand.
I am lucky enough to have amazing friends who support me in my faith, but so many others are afraid of showing theirs for fear of rejection.
Ground could be broken for the new St. Paul Catholic Student Center and Residential College at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in two to three years, said Fr. Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to the Holy Land has helped shine the spotlight on the situation of Christians in the homeland of Christ. The number of Christians has been steadily decreasing. Those remaining must often deal with conflict and economic challenges.
It was Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, a day that would change the lives of so many people, in so many ways. As a principal at a Catholic elementary school, I often find myself at work long after the students have gone home. It’s not unusual.
