St. Cecilia Parish in Wisconsin Dells is most appreciative of the diocesan offices for their support during the recent loss of our pastor, Msgr. Felix Oehrlein. These offices were most understanding and truly concerned for our welfare.
“Love is what it’s all about,” Msgr. Felix Oehrlein told high school youth attending the Resurrection 2004 rally in Wisconsin Dells. “Jesus reminds us to keep his commandments. Jesus came here and lived among us and lives with us today. He lives in the Church and you and I are that Church.”
Msgr. Felix G. Oehrlein died on November 25, 2011 at University of Minnesota/Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn. after a sudden illness.
The annual “Day in the Dells” sponsored by the Apostolate to the Handicapped on Friday, Aug. 19, was a very upbeat and enjoyable day for over 1,200 disabled and elderly persons.

I complained that the path of my life was not always smooth, that there were difficulties and obstacles along the way that made the journey through life tough . . . Then I remembered that there are people out there who had no feet and could never even make a journey . . . and I felt ashamed!
I complained that the things that I asked for were not always given to me, that I could not be understood when I spoke, or even heard . . . Then I remembered that there are people out there who were born mute and will never be heard by anyone . . . and I felt ashamed!
What happens when you need a friend and there’s no one there? Having no one to turn to in a moment of need is a trying experience for anyone, but especially for the poor.
WISCONSIN DELLS — The Apostolate to the Handicapped held its annual “Day in the Dells” on August 20 on the beautiful Tommy Bartlett grounds, where Mass was celebrated with many priests from the diocese participating, and which included a both humorous and touching homily by program icon Msgr. Thomas F. Campion.
WISCONSIN DELLS — As one enters the city of Wisconsin Dells, the population sign says 2,418. That’s the number of people who live year-round in this popular vacation destination.
On Friday, May 7, at 7 p.m. a documentary will air on some area ABC television affiliates on the Haiti Medical Mission of Wisconsin (HMMW).
“We of the Apostolate to the Handicapped say it loud and clear: ‘We are back,’” says an announcement from the Apostolate to the Handicapped of the Diocese of Madison.
