WATERTOWN — On Monday, April 6, students from St. Bernard and St. Henry Schools came together to celebrate Mass as the new Watertown Catholic School.

Students and staff were surprised with new T-shirts that revealed the new school logo and motto.

In December of 2014, with the blessing of the pastoral council, planning began to reconfigure the parish schools.

By the fall of 2017, St. Bernard campus will house daycare through third grade and St. Henry campus will house fourth through eighth grade.

This is an opportunity to grow Catholic education in Watertown.

As pastor, Fr. Parick J. Wendler shared in his homily, “We are putting two great schools together to build a strong community to share Jesus with everyone. We are better together.”

After Mass, everyone was treated to another surprise at the flag pole.

A new flag, with the logo and motto, was raised.

Both St. Bernard and St. Henry campuses now fly the new Watertown Catholic School flag.

It is an exciting time at Watertown Catholic School, “Where students grow in faith, knowledge, and service to others.”

Please pray for our school as it undergoes its transformation.

Adrienne Van Norman is the principal at St. Henry School in Watertown, part of the new Watertown Catholic School.
