Women’s prayer retreat at Durward’s Glen

On August 20, 2015
Kevin Wondrash

BARABOO — There is an upcoming retreat for women at Durward‘s Glen retreat and conference center located at W11876 McLeisch Rd. in Baraboo.

The Sacred Intercession Prayer Retreat is on Friday, Sept. 11, and Saturday, Sept. 12.

It starts on Friday with registration and a reception from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by the first talk and Eucharistic Adoration in the chapel. It continues Saturday with 7:30 a.m. Mass followed by breakfast. The session starts at 8:30 a.m. with lunch at 12 noon. It ends at 3 p.m.

The retreat will be led by Julie Rudnick, retreat leader and author of the Sacred Intercession Prayer Journal.

Do you desire a refreshed or deeper prayer life? Do you hunger and thirst to know God and to know how and where He is calling you? Do you have a desire to pray more effectively for loved ones, but find yourself at loss for words?

If so, join Rudnick for a weekend of living a life of prayer and intercession in an interactive retreat experience.

By using the Sacred Intercession Prayer Journal, attendees will experience the power of praying with God’s word through lectio divina and healing prayer, along with ample time for personal prayer, reflection, and journaling.

This retreat will blend learning with interactive practicums, as well as allow personal time for quiet prayer.

Each attendee will receive a personal copy of the Sacred Intercession Prayer Journal which will be used throughout the retreat.

You will leave the retreat renewed, inspired, and equipped with hundreds of Scripture prayers and devotions to use.

The cost of the retreat is $95, which includes the retreat experience, meals, and one Sacred Intercession Prayer Journal.

Overnight accommodations, if necessary, based on availability, are $55 per night plus tax for a Main Lodge guest room with shared bath.

For more information on registration, go to www.durwardsglen.org or contact Cathy Lins at theglen150@gmail.com or 608-356-8113.
