The Healthy Youth Act is now Wisconsin law. In public school, sex ed programs’ mandatory topics now include: gender stereotypes, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, use of contraception and barrier methods, and what defines criminal sexual conduct and all using materials which do not promote bias against sexual orientation or sexually active children or pupils.
Schools can opt out. Parents can “request” their children not attend. How benevolent. Don’t you need to teach practically every sex act humanly possible to teach how to avoid STDs? The law permits “volunteers” to teach, which would even include advocates of Planned Parenthood — a strong proponent of this bill. Oh, and reportedly, the ACLU will be monitoring things.
The most open-minded of parents should see this for what it is — fake secular humanism to mow over religious teaching. It’s a campaign to sexualize children, to teach them to embrace as morally acceptable all sexual behaviors — including homosexual, bisexual, transgender, and any promiscuous conduct (as long as it’s “safe”). This is a veiled attack on religion itself.
Parents beware; “they” depend on your discomfort and acquiescence. Hold back your kids and tackle teaching sexual morality at home. This summer, churches should help parents develop home curricula.
