Penalties for harming animals, but not people

On January 20, 2016
Lynn Scullion

To the editor:

One of our most precious gifts is the gift of love, which we give to people and animals. We want all to enjoy life on earth.

We can go to jail or pay a fine for torturing and killing animals, even before they are born or hatched, like an eagle egg.

People go to doctors to have their babies tortured and killed and people assist them and it is legal. Out of love, couldn’t we give up nine months of our life to give a baby a lifetime to someone who cannot have children and will adopt?

Please pray and vote to end abortion.

Lynn Scullion, Highland
