Love animals more than our own offspring?

On January 24, 2018
Lynn Scullion

To the editor:

A person breaking an eagle egg gets arrested. A doctor piercing a baby’s heart inside the womb is not arrested. They don’t call it a baby.

A doctor who fixes a baby’s heart in the womb is praised, and they call it a baby.

They call it a mother’s choice to kill or not to kill. Yet they advertise on TV to save the animals. Send money to help animals, because they are mistreated.

We all love animals, but apparently we all don’t love our own offspring. How sad.

When someone dies on death row, we want the details. When someone dies in the womb, we are quiet.

One of God’s commandments is, “Thou shalt not kill.” We read in Scripture, “Insomuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40).

Please pray and vote for life.

Lynn Scullion, Highland
