MADISON — The Madison Area Chapter of The Compassionate Friends is having their 17th annual Worldwide Candle Lighting Service on Sunday, Dec. 8, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Ave. (across from Cherokee Country Club), at 6 p.m. The Compassionate Friends is a support group for parents who have lost a child/children.
The service consists of selected music and poems, a picture presentation of the children, and concludes with the lighting of candles at 7 p.m. in memory of the child/children. Candles will be lit all over the world at 7 p.m. in each time zone.All families who are affected by the death of a child are welcome to join in the service.
