MADISON — Michael C. Koval, chief of police of Madison, brings an interesting skill set to speak to Catholic attorneys at the St. Thomas More Society meeting on Friday, May 1, at 7:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 404 E. Main St.
Koval holds a journalism degree from UW-Madison and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He will speak on “Law Enforcement and Lawyers.”

MONONA — On Saturday, May 2, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., parents and friends of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Catholic School Advantage (CSA) program will be hosting the third annual Hispanic Heritage Festival at 4913 Schofield St.
CSA parents invite all those in the community to support the children and their families by attending the festival. The Hispanic Heritage Festival is the primary fundraiser that supports the CSA program and the scholarships necessary to meet the needs of an increasing population of Hispanic families in the area who desire a Catholic school education for their children.
MADISON — All interested persons are invited to a Groundbreaking Ceremony to be held at the Bishop O’Connor Catholic Pastoral Center to celebrate the commencement of construction for the redevelopment project at the center.
Gorman & Company and the Diocese of Madison closed the financing for this project at the end of March and construction has begun.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Friday, May 1. The program will start with Bishop Robert C. Morlino celebrating the daily 12 noon Mass in the O’Connor Center chapel.

During the event, students will have the opportunity to learn more about “Theology of the Body,” a bold, biblical vision of love and sexuality written by St. John Paul II.
MADISON — St. Thomas Aquinas Parish will host a Family Fun(d) Night, “Heads, Shoulders, Kneelers, Toes,” on Saturday, May 2, beginning after the 4:30 p.m. Mass in the social hall and gathering area, 602 Everglade Dr. This family-centered event will help to raise funds to purchase new kneelers for the church.
Tickets are $15 per person, $25 a couple, or $40 for families with parents and children under 18 years of age.
