Chief of police speaks to Catholic attorneys

On April 30, 2015
Kevin Wondrash

MADISON — Michael C. Koval, chief of police of Madison, brings an interesting skill set to speak to Catholic attorneys at the St. Thomas More Society meeting on Friday, May 1, at 7:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 404 E. Main St.

Koval holds a journalism degree from UW-Madison and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He will speak on “Law Enforcement and Lawyers.”

His experience ranges from being Bucky Badger to being a special agent in the FBI, then serving with the Madison Police Department, where he has held a wide variety of positions. His favorite areas of training fellow police officers include professional communication, crisis management, community policing, and constitutional law and ethics.

All Catholic attorneys and their guests are invited to attend this event at no cost. Morning prayer begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by a continental breakfast and Koval’s presentation, ending at 9 a.m.

To reserve a spot, contact Deb at [email protected] or call 608-395-6706. For more information on the society or to join, contact President Susanna Herro at [email protected] or 608-255-2020.
