Mass planned at historic church in Highland

On April 23, 2015
Kevin Wondrash

HIGHLAND — The St. Philip Preservation Association invites everyone to the second annual gathering to help continue the historical legacy of St. Philip Church, 726 Main St., on Sunday, May 3.

Fr. James Murphy will celebrate Mass at 1 p.m. Msgr. Delbert Schmelzer is also planning to attend.

A light luncheon will follow the Mass; snacks, beverages, and desserts may be brought to be shared. Silent auction donations are appreciated.

Work has begun to help stabilize and weatherize the framing of the rose window.

Other areas of the building and grounds are also being addressed, and any help with cleaning, maintenance, planning, and setup would be very much appreciated.

Thank you to those who have donated toward the Rose Window Project, memorials, and utilities and general maintenance. These needed funds are making the difference to help preserve St. Philip Church.

For more information, call 608-341-7665 or 608-929-7490, or email [email protected]
