Sr. Joan Wirz, CSA, died on August 24, 2014.
Born in Monroe, Wis., on October 6, 1923, she was the first child of Otto and Ida Wirz, who named her Josephine Anna. A brother, George Otto, was born six years later.
Sister Dorothy Doolan, OP, dies
SINSINAWA — Sr. Dorothy Doolan, OP, died Sept. 4, 2014, at St. Dominic Villa. Her religious name was Sister Damian. The funeral Mass was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa Sept. 12, 2014, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sister Dorothy made her first religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican Aug. 6, 1940, and her final profession Aug. 6, 1943. She taught for 53 years and served as pastoral minister for 13 years. Sister Dorothy served in Iowa, Montana, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Sister Helen Dailey, OP, dies
SINSINAWA — Sister Helen Dailey, OP, died July 4, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, Iowa. Her religious name was Sr. Joeline. The funeral Mass will be held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa July 9, 2014, followed by burial of the cremains in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sr. Helen made her first religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican Aug. 5, 1949, and her final profession Aug. 5, 1952. She taught elementary and middle school for 33 years and college for 14 years. Sr. Helen ministered as director of religious education for 12 years, seven of those while also serving as pastoral associate. She served in Illinois, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Nebraska, and Florida.

Sister Jeannine made her first religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican Aug. 5, 1951, and her final profession Aug. 5, 1954. She ministered as a teacher for 34 years, pastoral assistant for four years, and secretary for 12 years. Sister Jeannine served in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Illinois, Wisconsin, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Minnesota.

SINSINAWA — Sister Patricia Brockmeyer, OP, died April 24, 2014, at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis. Her religious name was Sister Mary Campion. The funeral Mass was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa April 30, 2014, followed by burial of the cremains in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sister Patricia made her first religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican Aug. 5, 1951, and her final profession Aug. 5, 1954. She taught music and piano for 20 years, served as a medical secretary for 13 years and secretary for five years, and ministered in pastoral care for two years. Sister Patricia served in Wisconsin, New York, Illinois, and Minnesota.
